Job purpose: The DSV Operations Engineer provides operational and limited engineering support within the Company for the Diving Support Vessels.

 Reporting lines and interactions:
Hierarchically reports to: Vessel Operations Manager (DSV’s)
Operationally reports to: Lead Operations Engineer
Directly supervises: N/A

Typical background and experience required:
Must have:
Relevant Engineering Degree.
Engineering for offshore operations experience.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.

Flexibility.
Mobility (Offshore and Onshore visits).
Leadership development.

The willingness to report any unsafe or environmental unsound acts and conditions to your immediate supervisor such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk.

Nice to have:
RGIT offshore training or equivalent.
UKOOA offshore medical or equivalent.
Marine offshore experience.
2 years experience in offshore/subsea industry (marine/engineering).
 
Main accountabilities:
Provide operational support to the Business Units utilizing the DSV’s.
Coordinate operational support between Business Units and other Departments.
Organization and management of engineering, draughting and HSE services required to support the DSV’s.
Ensure that Document Control and QHSE procedures are applied onshore and by PMTs.
Conduct Technical / Constructability / Hazid Reviews of projects and tenders where required.
Support Vessel Assurance Process.
Analysis of Daily Project and Marine Reports.
Offshore vessel visits and mobilisation attendance. Offshore trips planned as required.
Identify and submit CAPEX submissions for operational improvements.
Follow-up with ongoing CAPEX Projects.
Assist development of Standard Operating Procedures and Lift Plans database.
Provide support to Vessel Operations Manager (DSV’s) where required.
Provide support to vessel OMTs as required.
Update and maintain vessel specification / SLA.
Update and maintain vessel available documentation on the intranet.
