Basic Purpose of Job:
Accountable for managing and delivering specific project workscopes, including supervising, organising and co-ordinating engineering design and support activities for assigned projects.
Main Duties:
Ensure that assigned projects are delivered to agreed budgets and schedules.
Operate as first point of contact for projects on the assigned assets for Project and Repair orders
Manage project spend and profitability against agreed contract reward model, highlighting to Management as required for possible intervention.
Provide supervision, direction and support for all personnel contributing to assigned projects.
Promote effective communication and challenge within the Engineering disciplines to foster the production of safe, cost effective, fit for purpose and constructible design solutions.
Manage the effective development, monitoring and control of plans and estimates for assigned projects.
Maintain close liaison with Customer and provide assistance to ensure all work on the assigned projects is progressed and reported effectively.
Be open to innovative ways of working, ensuring efficiency in delivery to the Client.
Identify opportunities for efficiency savings and implement where agreed.
Education & Qualifications:
Engineering Degree preferable. However a suitable engineering background and adequate experience will also meet the needs.
Minimum of HND/HNC.
Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Offshore Survival & Medical preferred
Experience:
2+ years experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. 2+ years experience as a Project Engineer managing brownfield modifications work
Strong engineering and design focus
Understanding of Construction activities
Proven track record in managing and delivering projects, preferably with brownfield modifications focus
Strong Project management skills
Commercial awareness
Understands risk
